return to the campaign trail. cnn s joe johns joins us from the white house. joe, what does biden have on his agenda for this week? battleground states. he s about to go to wisconsin, pennsylvania, also ohio to a groundbreaking for a semiconductor plant there. a huge $20 billion semiconductor plant. so this time of year the labor day weekend is traditionally the time when campaigns start bearing down. the voters start focusing on the candidates. joe biden s name, of course, nowhere on the ballot. but the fact that he s going to these three battleground states tells you a little bit about what the biden people are thinking. it wasn t very long ago that there were real concerns about the challenges faced here at the white house by the biden administration challenges including inflation, the president s approval numbers, the price of gasoline. now some of those challenges have started to ease up and democrats are thinking things might not be as bad as they first thought ....

sale on ebay. the price tag, $1,200. how did it get there? who bought it? let s go outfront. i m poppy harlow in for erin burnett. the former president s attorneys downplaying the classified documents seized from mar-a-lago. that comparison to an overdue library book made by trump s new lawyer, florida s former solicitor general. during the search of trump s home, the fba seized 33 boxes, which included more than 100 classified documents, which were marked confidential, secret and also top secret. that is on top of 15 boxes that trump s team turned over in january where there were 184 classified documents. they reiterated the trump for a special master to examine the documents seized. the judge in all of this did today stop short of making a final decision at the hearing. we could get her ruling on that any minute. we could soon learn more about what the fbi took in those boxes from trump s home last month. the judge said she s thinking about publically releasing a mo ....
trump lawyer jim trusty described the battle over whether the documents were kept as comparable to a dispute over to an overdue lie b. the judge indicating if she appoints a special master, she may still allow the intelligence community to review the seized documents as part of a damage assessment. prosecutors, meantime, arguing the special master was unnecessary and saying trump s team has offered no evidence there was any disregard for the former president s rights. as the judge asks, what s the harm in appointing a special master. beyond the courtroom, trump it s not like this was some sinister plot. reporter: insisting whatever happened at mar-a-lago was the result of hastily packing up to leave the white house. you accumulate a lot of stuff over a term and all of a sudden you re leaving and stuff gets packed up and sent. reporter: trump s team down played the documents found in his home and club, without denying they were classified. saying, simply put, ....
