SPECIAL THANKS — At Thursday’s Wintersville Council meeting, Mayor Robbie Martin joined the family of the late Regina Coppa in thanking staff with Wright Traffic Control, NPL Construction Co. and Columbia Gas for the respect they paid as her funeral procession passed through their work zone. On hand during the meeting were Jason Cramer, Paul Black, Darian Black, Christian Dunham, Sherry Galiano and Melisa Morris, all of WTC; Dan Wamar, Brandon Durben, Zach Freeman and Travis Justice, all of NPL; and Mark Molinaro, Brian Sprouse and Rick Davidson, all of Columbia Gas.

WINTERSVILLE Upcoming gas line replacements, a village ordinance against parking on snow-covered streets were among business and a handful of police matters were among business before Wintersville Council on Thursday.
Village Administrator Walt Ziemba said crews with Columbia Gas will be replacing gas lines in the Canton Road area from the Kroger store north to Meadow Road and starting with Springdale Avenue on Jan. 18. ....
