Before the sun was up. Sources close to the investigation confirmed the motorcycle rider that was killed was an offduty chp officer headed to work at the time of the crash. Investigators say that 44year old Joseph Kevin Yum was driving his chevrolet pickup truck northbound on months rakes made a left turn, directly in front of the officer who was traveling southbound monterey, made a left turn, directly in front of the officer who was traveling southbound. He was an amazing person. Amazing person and officer. Reporter the identity of the officer who was killed being withheld pending the notification of all of his family.
