She read a statement from andy lack saying in part on monday night we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by matt lauer. Lack went on to say, while it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years hes been at nbc news, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been isolated incident. And so in fewer than 35 hours after the complaint, lauer went from a National Morning show fixture to fired. His colleagues at the today show could not contain their shock.
