Break on the elements at all. we will update the weather conditions there, later this hour. for now, appreciate it. joe hernandez is a former member of fema urban search and rescue and a former chief of medical operations for florida task force two. and he joins me, now. from miami. joe, listen. obviously, our heart goes out to all the family members. and we don t know what it s like to be waiting to see if they can rescue anyone. but we know that they are hoping that all of those hardworking people that you see there, at the disaster zone. can actually do something. how complicated is it? because we have seen fire. we have seen water. we have seen wind. we have seen rain. and smoke. how complicated is it right now? as complicated as you can get it. the rescuers, of course, are fighting time. that s the the element that everybody is up against. and then, when you add the inclement weather that we had and all the water that was going ....

Michael connell, communications director for the missouri department of public safety. good morning to you, sir. i wiesh wish we had you on for better news but this is the circumstance that everyone is facing this morning. what can you tell us? yes, poppy, good morning to you. as you said, we have about 16 to 20 storm-related transports we can confirm. the good news is none of those injuries are considered serious. the other good news is no one is missing right now. so there s been a search already conducted. but now in a coordinated fashion, teams are going out, including a fema urban search and rescue team, and they re conducting a secondary search, marking buildings to make sure that everybody knows which buildings have been checked so nobody is missed. you have your own survivor s story here hiding in a closet. tell us how you got through the storm. well, i was fortunate. ....
And so that s a disappointing part. our condolences go out to the families that have lost people here. and i say that on behalf of every single person that is working this scene and putting in a tremendous amount of time and effort and hours. they re doing a great job. they re utilizing a lot of of different resources out here. those resources we re using, snohomish county sheriff s department helicopter, snohomish county volunteer search and rescue personnel, we re utilizing search dogs, both search and cadaver dogs. we ve got the fema urban search and rescue team. there s about 70 of those members coming. we ve got heavy equipment on-site as well. some of that heavy equipment is everything from dozers to small little like bobcats that are like little kaeks vexcavator bo. ....
