Ceasefire along the LoC has created an environment of peace and prosperity for the border villages of J&K. This has also led to infrastructural development, a major one being the electrification of the villages for the first time ever. The villages are attracting tourists for the first time in over three decades.
In the nomenclature of Srinagar, Sri stands for Sun and Nagar for the City, hence Srinagar is a SUNCITY or in Arabic language MADINAT-U-SHAMAS, which has a history of the development of about 23 centuries and it will continue to develop spatially, geographically, population-wise, culturally, and spiritually, etc in times ahead.
