Flawed way-finding signages installed in Jammu under Smart City project: RTI activist

JAMMU, July 24: Alleging that flawed way-finding signages have been installed in Jammu under Smart City Project, RTI activist Balvinder Singh today said that the Government must blacklist and take action against the faulty consultants hired for execution of Smart City projects.
He was addressing a press conference at Jammu along with other civil society members including Manjit Singh Bali, Manmohan Singh, Mahesh Singh Kotwal and Ayaz Ahmad Khan. Singh told media persons that for execution and implementation of 52 Smart City projects, the UT administration hired Rodic Consultants Private Limited and a very handsome amount is agreed to have been paid to them.

KARACHI: Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited, Pakistan’s largest oil refining company, has signed an agreement for the first-ever implementation of SAP Ariba DSN (Digital Supplier Network) and Sourcing Suite in Pakistan, a statement said on Wednesday.
“The initiative will automate the procurement process enabling a paperless process, significantly eliminating errors and unnecessary delays, as encountered in traditional procurement to the payment process,” the company said.
The MoU was signed by Azfar Saeed Baig, Vice President Information, Byco Petroleum Pakistan and Wasil Amjad, CEO Excellence Delivered Pvt. Ltd.
Addressing the ceremony, Fayaz Ahmad Khan, Vice President Commercial Byco Petroleum, said, “Byco has always been at the forefront of innovation and implementation of processes that are in line with global best practices”.

Ganderbal (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], March 11 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Police has filed a charge-sheet against a terrorist and three terrorist associates of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) module they busted in Ganderbal in September last year, the police informed on Thursday. Ganderbal Police, along with 5 RR, busted HM module and arrested three terrorist associates identified as Arshid Ahmad Khan, Majid Rasool and Mohd Aasif Najar of banned terror outfit HM for hatching criminal conspiracy for terrorist acts, harbouring terrorists and giving support to the proscribed terrorist organisations, the police said in a statement issued.
Police File Chargesheet Against Militant, 3 OGWs
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that it has filed a chargesheet against a Pakistan based militant and three of his associates, who were arrested from Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.
The chargesheet were submitted before the court in a case FIR No 199/2020 registered at the police station Ganderbal, a police spokesperson said.
Divulging details of the case, he said, police and army on September 14 last year busted Hizbul Mujahideen module and arrested 3 militant associates identified as Arshid Ahmad Khan of Wayil, Majid Rasool Rather and Mohd Aasif Najar, both residents of Beehama Ganderbal for hatching “criminal conspiracy for militant acts, harbouring militants and giving support to the proscribed militant organisations”.
