The final panel for the day addresses issues having to do with liberal Arts Education and the search for truth. We have a distinguished group of panelists to address the question. I want to begin though with a bit of personal testimony of my own and then really an expression of gratitude. We will be discussing pathologies, undeniable pathologies that exist in american Higher Education these days. Compromising of Academic Freedom violations of Core Principles of freedom of speech, the lack of Viewpoint Diversity, the phenomenon of trying to win debates labeling other people as bigots or haters or what have you. So, we are here today trying to think a little bit about the Cultural Heritage of the american south, especially after and during the american civil war. It has been in the news quite a bit lately. And so i think its a topic that folks who are interested in Historical Preservation like yourselves have got to figure out. We have a really fun opportunity to make sense of all of this.
