The “Double E” roared up and down the field for Cape, from the midfield draw circle to picking ground balls and scoring goals, as Emily Monigle and Ella Rishko combined for 11 goals and three assists in a get-ahead, stay-ahead 17-10 victory. ....

The win boosted Cape’s record to 7-1 on the season, while Worcester fell to 4-1. Cape got four goals from Haley Craig and Carrie Clauius; three from Emily Monigle; and two from Kelly Bragg. Single goals were scored by Riley Keen, Molly Mendez, Lulu Rishko, Maren Buckaloo and Grace Wiggins. Cape assists were Craig and Clausius with three; Keen, Mendez and Ella Rishko with two; and Lexi Nowakowski and Bragg with one. Saves in goal for Cape were Destiny Kusen with four and Anna Lopez with two. ....

The Saints had lost to McDonogh, the nation’s top-ranked team, 14-9 the day before. The turf was hot, clouds were sparse; the Vikings wore masks, the Saints did not. Cape jumped the Saints early, leading 3-0 on goals by Kelly Bragg, Emily Monigle and Ella Rishko. Bragg went down early with a twisted ankle and did not return. The first half was back and forth, with St. Mary’s leading 7-5 at the intermission. ....
