But the demand is so high that some dispensaries are running low on pot products. The legalization of recreational pot means many vendors cannot supply dispensaries. Residents are uniting to help the victims of hurricane maria. This morning an organization looking to help the people of puerto rico is holding a donation drive in oakland. Many lost their houses. They dont have water, food. Thats why a group of bay area Puerto Ricans formed a coalition called sf for pr. They plan to do as much as possible to send money and donations to the island. Many of these bay area residents have family members in puerto rico who have been directly affected by hurricane maria. Sf for pr is asking people to donate things such as bottled water, canned food, firstaid kits, blankets and more. Crews are in the process of repaving the secondlargest runway at the airport. Sfo had originally planned to hold off on the repaving because of the busy holiday. But crews say theyve been falling behind and just couldnt afford to take the time off. The lake merritt bart station will be closed until tuesday. marty landing a 13yearold boy is recovering this morning after hes rescued by his 18yearold brother in a hayward house fire. And last nights rescue wasnt simple. The 18yearold had to jump from a second story window of his home. He grabbed a ladder and used it to save his younger brother. The fire started in the living room on the first floor of the home on cherry way near western bo
