new at 11:00 a state of emergency. the governors of florida and north carolina both declaring one as hurricane matthew churns this way. good evening. i m wendy ryan. i m paul la jamison uhler. this is some of the heavy rain people in jamaica are already seeing. the storm is expected to hit haiti the hardest. let s go right to chief meteorologist denis phillips. this is going to be a devastating night for haiti. this will be moving on shore right on the western tip of haiti with winds of about 145 miles per hour, a surge of incredible rainfall totals. this is a nasty hurricane, category 4, even stronger now than it was earlier on. the lowest pressure that s been recorded at 934 millibars. where is it going? the new track that just came out has given us a little bit of a change compared to the 5:00 track. and as we expected it is a little more to the west. our computer models have been trending that way for the last day or so, so we kind of figured the hurricane cen ....
