story. i m wolf blitzer. you re in is the situation roo this is cnn breaking news. let s get right to the flooding disaster. see, that s miguel marquez joining us right now. half of the confirmed deaths are in new jersey where you are tonight. what s the latest? reporter: yeah. it is just incredible how much water was dumped in this area and that power of water. i want to show you what we re looking at right now. this is the river near new brunswick. this was a part right in front of us. it is about 10 to 12 feet over flood stage. it has started to come down ever so slightly. we re just passed high tide here. but these rescue workers here have a long way to go. raging flood waters throwing across parts of the northeast tonight where active rescues continue. officials estimate they have received calls in the thousands from people needing to be rescued from extreme flooding. the water was raised so high, i couldn t rush straight to the street. i wanted to go to t ....
