You might not see nothing. But you go hunting for an arrest, locking up some old guy, some homeless guy, finding somebody whos riding their bicycle on the sidewalk and you bring them in. When you pull any type of numbers on a Police Officer to perform, we are going to go to the most vulnerable. Were going to go to these people that have no power. If we start doing what were doing in midtown, a phone call the Mayors Office is going to be made. The worst thing you can have a Police Officer who needs an arrest for the month. So i think that there are really two levels to react to those kinds of policies and practices. One is the individual style. And, as sam walker mentioned when people are talking about why they are upset about these stops, they most frequently talk about disrespect, humiliation, insults. Irrespective of whether a Police Officer can be polite on one person to one day in one spot, people react to policies and practices in their community. Those need to be perceived as fair as well. Yonks police need to legit mate a racist policy by being polite to people. First of all, they need to limit the number of stops they do.
