Reporter he said that stay athome restrictions could be lifted cautiously. I think one of the things that we all know is there will be a Distance Learning approach and for some people its not working. We want to make sure that we are not setting up a one size fits all for the fall. Reporter the hope is to start next year with the higher number of students if the Pilot Program works. If county half lines do not provide that there would be a mix of classroom and online learning. The superintendent said that all essential workers will have access to covid19 testing. The California State University system will be holding online classes this fall. There will still be a small number of classes that meet. The schools are working to make sure that health and safety protocols are in place. The university of california may suspend the requirement of sat and act requirements. This is part of a complex plan making the tests optional for two years. There would be a custom assessment in your five. S
Restrictions here in the bay area are still very much in place, and discussions about changing that are just that, discussions. But santa cruz did give us an early look how people might react when some of those restrictions are lifted. It was a cold day and a weekday but that didnt stop some people from the bay area from heading to santa cruz after hearing beaches were no longer offlimits. Whoohoo. So excited. I just cant wait to get in the ocean. Really loving it. That excitement is something Bay Area Public Health officials will watch carefully, before considering whether to open similar waterfront s ocean beach in san francisco, pillar point har bar in san mant county or Jack London Square in london. Im told Bay Area Public Health officers are gathering input from numerous sources and want any decision to be consistent from one county to the next. Reopening beaches in part cautiously. You can see some rain drops. It has been rainy and windy. That is having an impact on flights. They have been seeing delays on average of about one hour and 55 minutes. Cant complain about that especially after yesterday with the rainfall that we did have and it made for some slick roads yesterday. So yes, pretty quiet here in the bay area i mention that we had some light showers early around sunnyvale those have cleared out. A light sprinkle right around union city, its looking like but even that really not amounting to much now i wish i could say that for Southern California that is definitely not the case weve had some very heavy rainfall. Has actually resulted in some Flooding Risk for a few spots, especially around san diego as for the mountains, its just been snowfall now i 5 grapevine having big problems this morning most of that is closed due to that snow and ice its form the past couple of days.
