An investigation into the deadly bus crash on the N2 at Kei Cuttings in August was wrapped up in 2021, but the bereaved families are still in the dark about its findings. Thirty-one people were killed and many injured when the double-decker bus, operated by DMJ and travelling from Cape Town to the Eastern Cape, veered off the road near the Kei River, outside Butterworth, and plunged into a ravine.
Another person who was critically injured in the DMJ Transport bus accident on Monday last week has died at East London’s Frere Hospital, bringing the death toll to 31.
