Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division Leadership Commander COL Geoffrey A. Whittenberg Colonel Geoffrey A. Whittenberg graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Oklahoma State University s ROTC program in 1997, with a degree in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (Forestry), and received his commission as an Aviation Officer. He attended the Aviation Officer Basic Course and graduated flight school in 1998 as an OH-58D-rated Aviator. Miller COL Jabari Miller graduated from the United States Military Academy and was commissioned as an Armor officer in 1997.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and a master’s degree in Military Arts and Sciences from the School of Advance Military Study.  COL Miller’s past assignments include Tank Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in 1st Battalion, 67th Armor at Fort Hood, Texas, and Cavalry Troop Executive Officer in 4th Squadron, 7th Cavalry in South Korea. (Photo: U.S. Army) 16 Jan 2021 The Army Criminal Investigation Command, or CID, is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the brutal New Year s Day murder of a female drill sergeant at Joint Base San Antonio, or JBSA, in Texas. Staff Sgt. Jessica Ann Mitchell was shot to death in her vehicle at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Interstate 10 in San Antonio, according to a CID news release on Thursday. She had been seen 15 minutes earlier at the 4th Quarter Sports Bar, located about 13 miles northwest of the base. We are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Staff Sgt. Mitchell s senseless murder and are asking the public to come forward if they have any information on this case, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, Chris Grey, an Army spokesman, said in the release.
