Dense fog and light rain are expected in Delhi, leading to a slip in air quality to poor. Isolated parts of Delhi experienced 'cold day' conditions with a possibility of very light rain or drizzle. The Met department has issued a 'yellow' alert for light rain or thundershowers on Sunday.
At Indira Gandhi International Airport, several flights were delayed due to bad weather on Sunday. Trains were also delayed at the New Delhi Railway Station due to dense fog. The decreased visibility has also resulted in numerous train delays. Bangalore Rajdhani was delayed more than two hours, and Mumbai Rajdhani was running an hour late.
Coldwave conditions persisted in Delhi and adjoining states, causing dense fog in isolated pockets. The India Meteorological Department forecasted mainly clear skies for today.
