Thank you so much, everybody. Im going to be relatively brief. I came up here right after the storm. Was on the jersey side. And i had promised to everybody that i was speaking on behalf of the country when i said we are going to be here until the rebuilding is complete. And i meant it. So im going to come back today but im also going to be coming back in the future to make sure that we have followed through on that commitment. I want to thank the outstanding leadership thats been provided by state and local officials. Obviously, Governor Cuomo and mayor bloomberg have done an outstanding job. In ireland a 31yearold woman went to the hospital in extreme pain. Turned out she was pregnant. She was told that her baby would not survive and she would miscarry. They said that would take only a few hours. She was in terrible pain for three days until the baby eventually died in his or her womb. During that threeday period she asked doctors to terminate the pregnancy several times. Begged them because it was so painful and the baby was going to die. Humphries ii. Hes 47 years old. He was the investigator who first learned of a complaint from jill kelley that she received harassing emails. The government has taken away for now, the top security clearance of Paula Broadwell, the former mistress of David Petraeus. Whatsoever on the first 250,000 of everybodys income. We should not hold the middle class hostage while we debate tax cuts for the wealthy. We should at least do what we agree on, and thats to keep the middle class taxes low. Eliot the president also emphasized what he would not do a sending time to make a tax deal with house republicans. Obama what im not going to do is to extend bush tax cuts for the wealthiest 2 that we cant afford and according to economists, will have the least positive impact on our economy. Eliot mr. Obama also waded into the scandal that saw general David Petraeus step down as director of the c. I. A. He offered assurances that damage from petraeus affair was at least so far confined to the general and his family, and offered some words of support.
