weather-weary region. i m brian bolter. and i m shawn yancy. the ripple effects from this morning s torrential rain continues to cause problems tonight. we start off with will thomas live in northwest tonight. will. reporter: good evening. as you know, we pretty much dodged a bullet this evening. in fact, the flash flood watch was lifted for most of us by 6:00, but this morning a different story, rock creek park, still cars coming out of there now. it only takes 5 or 6 inches of moving water to move your water or even stall it out in many cases, and that s where you find yourself in big trouble. there s a good chance you drove through it on the way to work, an intense band of rain that pummeled our region with 2 to nearly 5 inches of driving rain. some roads became impassable, but that didn t stop some drivers from making an attempt. the d.c. fire and ems ops center located on the second floor of rescue squad 1 in china town opened early at 6:30 a.m. within 15 minut ....
