On May 17, the first death was reported when a body of a 45-year-old male was found in front of a hotel. In the next consecutive days, two more suspected deaths were reported. Of these, two were unidentified.
Experts said the state is likely to record more fatalities this month. Data shared by the Public Health Department showed the state reported 16 deaths two deaths daily on an average in the last seven days.
