Maharashtra reported 154 new Covid cases, with 21 cases in Mumbai, in the last 24 hours. Another Covid death was recorded in Nagpur. The state has 139 patients infected with the JN.1 variant.
Maharashtra Covid Cases Live Updates (December 29, 2023): A delegation has arrived in Mumbai on today, surveying potential rally venues, such as Shivaji Park and BKC Ground, while also seeking police permission for it.
According to the Union Ministry of Health data, there were 5.33 lakh deaths due to Covid alone since March 2020. However, a vast majority of people did not get any insurance benefit as insurance penetration is very low in the country.
