The kindercare in west allis is set to reopen at six this morning. After heavy rain caused flooding outside its building. The flooding was so bad, some of the kids got stuck inside. Daycare employees called parents and told them they would feed the kids dinner while parents waited for the roads to dry out. When that didnt happen, they called the fire walked the kids down to the rigs until the parents could pick them up. And the kids were fine for them it was a little adventure they were on for a short period of time. The last child was picked up at about 915 last night. Three hours after the daycare normally cleanup will continue today in dodge county where the rain forced two schools to close in the city of mayville. Emergency crews worked to stop rising water from hitting lutheran school. A proposal making its way through the city would have made that the city of waukesha to the facility 06 46 the idea is, can we save money and improve services by combining our city dispatch with county dispatch . At a Common Council meeting alderman were presented with a new study weighing the pros and cons of a merger. That study says the switch would save the city about 600thousanddollars a year by reducing city staff.
