The kindercare in west allis is set to reopen at six this morning. After heavy rain caused flooding outside its building. The flooding was so bad, some of the kids got stuck inside. Daycare employees called parents and told them they would feed the kids dinner while parents waited for the roads to dry out. When that didnt happen, they called the fire walked the kids down to the rigs until the parents could pick them up. Day off trying to figure out what happened just a few houses from his. Sirens, ambulance, fire trucks, cop cars. Police tell us a man in his mid 20s was shot in the backyard of a vacant home. By the Property Managers. The locksmith told them he thought there was somebody in the residence. The Property Managers, a man and his wife, went in the backyard of that home. They took their dog and their gun, looking for any unwanted tenants. They found one, and a deadly confrontation followed. The fist fight goes to the ground, at some point, i dont know if he regains his footing. But hes able to retrieve his fire arm. Police say the intruder punched the property manager several times in the face. The dog was also punched. Eventually he was able to get his gun and shoot the intruder. Burglary, they say Property Owners of one of the homes in this neighborhood found a man who didnt belong there inside the house. They then got into some sort of confrontation which resulted in the Property Owners shooting the intruder. He was then taken to Sunrise Hospital where he died.
