Well, ive been going to the nihonmachi street fair for years and it never ceases to amaze me how it remains a traditional event of fun while constantly evolving. Being called the original melting pot of street fairs really fits. And joining me to explain how is longtime friend of the show, richard jue, the Board Chairman of the nihonmachi street fair. Robert give us an idea, first of all, a little history for people who dont know it, when the nihonmachi street fair started, what it kind of started out as, and how its evolved. Richard well, it started out initially in 1973 withwe had a Cherry Blossom that just displayed the businesses. So, nihonmachi street fair developed from that way to display the nonprofit organizations of the city. ....
