Also breaking, this man, mason james lira, the man wanted in connection with the shooting of a deputy in san luis county has been shot in a shootout with police. It happened at paso robles in the last hour. Unclear what his condition is at this point. Several officers are hurt. Investigators say he went on a shooting spree early yesterday morning when he started shooting at the Paso Robles Police department building. The deputy who responded to that call shot in the face. Investigators also discovered a body nearby at the amtrak station and they believe lira is linked to that as well. They believe that same person also owns in dental office on alum rock avenue, ironically a large mural adorned the wall of that clinic until someone also painted over that mural.
