Pst friday. Surface observations indicate that wind speeds are starting to lessen somewhat, although a few Airport Locations are still gusting in the 2535 mph range. Automated stations in Higher Elevations are reporting gusts in the 5060 mph range still, however, all of these wind speeds are expected to lessen within the next few hours. Radar also indicates that rainfall is less extensive across the region, although shower activity is expected to persist on and off through the evening. The upper level low and associated surface low pressure centers continue to deepen off of the california coast. This system is on track to move inland across the San Francisco bay area by early evening. Winds will diminish as the surface low shifts inland this afternoon evening. Flooding remains a concern as water continues to flow down the slopes from the recent heavy rains, but will diminish later tonight and tuesday aside from some of the slower to respond mainstem rivers.
