He gave San Francisco a good name. Because he was a very good man. The 10 00 news on ktvu fox 2 starts now. It was an out pouring of support and affection for San Franciscos first Asian American mayor. Im heather holmes. Lee died last week unexpectedly at the age of 63, and today hundreds paid tribute to the man who led the city for years. The mayor was remembered for not only his kindness, but dedication to Public Service. Reporter yes, current, state, and local politicians along with baseball greats barry bonds and 49ers legend joe montana were in attendance. Dignitaries as well as family members got up to share personal stories about mayor lee, and said he was an effective and selfless politician who never sought the spotlight for himself. People waited in a line that stretched around city hall to honor late mayor ed lee. Inside dignitaries and other notable bay area reds dents remembered residents remembered lee as a humble man whose career in politics was not something he started

Reporter this is Francisco Sanchez walking again. He walked into the wrong without handcuffs on and shackles on his ankles. He did have a chance later as the fed before and pleaded not guilty. Between the attorneys it was the discussion over the bill amount. His public defender argue that sanchez has never committed a Violent Crime in his path and argued that it appeared that the shooting was accidental. It was at this time in court today that we learned and he wished that she was shot in the back. The chip attorneys that it appears that she was shot just one time. Took off. It was quite a scene here, of course, very loud, but we saw a person over there who knew this was going on and had an American Flag standing there, very solemn, some other people standing on top of a building watching as this solemn very low key procession happened. The official honorable transfer ceremony will happen at Dover Air Force base and thats where the helicopters are going now. Were not exactly sure why they didnt just fly from chattanooga. Perhaps it was a safety issue, perhaps logistics, but we do understand that they drove the entire way from chattanooga today, some 500 miles, to the manassas Regional Airport here at this very secure airpark here. We believe its obviously very secure and some black federal helicopters took those bodies, had them loaded. We believe three caskets were put on one helicopter and one on another one. A number of people here assisting with this process today and then at 5 45 the helicopter took off and are right now headed to dover, del
