A woman can get vaccinated against COVID-19 anytime after the delivery of her baby, healthcare experts have said and stressed on the need to permit vaccination of even pregnant women to protect them from the infection.
The government recently allowed vaccination for lactating mothers.

In a span of 24 hours, India administered more than 43 lakh covid-19 vaccine doses on April 5, which is the highest single-day coverage till now, taking the total doses given in the country so far to 8,31,10,926, according to the Union Health Ministry.
A total 43,00,966 vaccine doses have been given out of which 39,00,505 beneficiaries were vaccinated across 48,095 sessions for 1st dose while 4,00,461 beneficiaries received the 2nd dose, according to the data updated at 7 am as on day-80 of the vaccination drive

Canada thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing coronavirus vaccines by putting up billboards in the Greater Toronto area. The billboard reads, Thank You India and PM Narendra Modi for providing COVID vaccines to Canada. Long Live Canada-India Friendship. The billboard also mentions the Hindu Forum, Canada.
Canada received the first consignment of 5,00,000 AstraZeneca s Made-in-India CoviShield coronavirus vaccines on March 4. They are produced at the Pune-based Serum Institute of India. India will be sending a tranche of 1.5 million more doses to Canada.
Earlier this month, PM Modi spoke to his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau and assured him that India will do its best to support Canada s Covid-19 vaccination efforts.
