A fantastic fundraiser at GCMS was one of the many good things happening in area hallways leading into the holidays. Our crew of 40 students correspondents share the happy details.

[cheers and applause] welcome and merry christmas. also, thanks so much for all your service which you do on daily basis for this country. we all have so much to be thankful for this year. we want to start with what this holiday means to each of us. i will start to me christmas means, of course, the coziness of sitting around the tree in our pajamas with blankets on. and, of course, my being italian, a lot of is about food. eating lots of sweet treats that i may not eat at other times of the year and just slowing down to reconnect with family over some long leisurely meals. i love the music and, of course, the anticipation of what santa will bring for everyone. yes, most of all to me it means e

want to mention. this will bring areas that don t want more rainfall. areas like los angeles will esee the rainfall heading to tonight. we could see travel delays out there. we re seeing gusty winds, 60 miles per hour across bakersfield area. that s what we have in store for us this region heading to today. you mention the storm that s bringing a white christmas possibly for atlanta. it s very soon. the storms heading southward. right outside of the atlanta area. seeing them all morning, inching toward the city. they re close by right now. further north, band of snowfall from northern alabama to western north carolina and that s the area where we re going to see the heaviest rain. the heaviest snow this afternoon between three and six inches of it. unusual of it. slippy driving out there. and further north. we ll see the snow fall across northeast heading to tomorrow. overnight, you will see snow pick up across north carolina and south carolina. raleigh, north carolina, last
