Derik C. Rivera, 31, was originally indicted in March for aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine and aggravated trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, second-degree felonies, from an incident on Feb. 24 with a one-year firearm specification for each count. The indictment included an order to forfeit the gun in question, which is a Ruger 9 mm.
He was also indicted with having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, related to the firearm. Rivera is not permitted to have a weapon due to being convicted of drug possession in January 2018 and drug trafficking in July 2018.
