The India Meteorological Department has predicted dense to very dense fog conditions over North India for the next five days. Severe cold day conditions are also expected in India for the next few days.
The IMD has issued a warning indicating the potential occurrence of dense to very dense fog conditions during the night and morning hours in specific areas of Uttar Pradesh from January 19 to January 21.
According to the IMD, there is a high probability of dense to very dense fog conditions persisting for several hours during the night and morning in various regions of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.
Cold wave in India: Very dense fog was reported in isolated parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and northwest Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday late night, according to the IMD.
IMD Update: Delhi Airport reports delays in flight operations, affecting around 120 flights. 53 flights, including 21 Domestic arrivals, 16 Domestic departures, 13 International departures, and 3 International arrivals, are cancelled and not operating due to fog and other operational reasons.
