Gardai are investigating the man s death
The cops continue to treat the case as “unexplained”, but they do not believe his death was natural or self-inflicted.
One line of inquiry gardai are following is that the man may have been involved in a physical altercation at some stage before he died and whether or not that could have contributed to his sudden death.
POST-MORTEM
The dead man, aged in his 50s, was last seen alive on Monday evening.
A post-mortem was carried out on Thursday, the results of which are not being made public.
A source said: “It’s still an unexplained death. But there are circumstances that gardai have concern over.”

The future of healthcare in Swords sparked debate in the council chamber as an independent councillor called for new healthcare facilities to be located close to the Pavilions or Barryspark area of the town.
At last week s Area Committee Meeting, Cllr Cathal Boland (NP) proposed a motion seeking improved Heath Facilities for Swords.
Cllr Boland said that medical facilities, currently on offer in Swords, the County Town of Fingal were inadequate to meet the needs of Swords and the surrounding area Boland called for the Committee members to recommend, promote, and support the establishment of appropriately sized health care facilities located in close proximity to the Pavilion/Barryspark area of the town.
