Future of healthcare in Swords sparks heated debate

The future of healthcare in Swords sparked debate in the council chamber as an independent councillor called for new healthcare facilities to be located close to the Pavilions or Barryspark area of the town.
At last week's Area Committee Meeting, Cllr Cathal Boland (NP) proposed a motion seeking improved Heath Facilities for Swords.
Cllr Boland said that medical facilities, currently on offer in Swords, the County Town of Fingal were inadequate to meet the needs of Swords and the surrounding area Boland called for the Committee members to recommend, promote, and support the establishment of appropriately sized health care facilities located in close proximity to the Pavilion/Barryspark area of the town.
