Clarendon County Council met for their regularly scheduled January Board Meeting this Monday, Jan 11. The meeting began with the usual pledge, introductory remarks, and invocation, approval of agenda, and approval of minutes. 
Moving on from the meetings formalities, the council appointed Arlene Ham to serve an additional term on the Clarendon County Library Board. 
After appointing Ham to the board, Council moved on to a public hearing involving Ordinance 2020-10. This ordinance involves the transfer of Clarendon County property to the City of Manning. A process which is simple, but must be carried out formally. All of the property mentioned in the ordinance resides within Manning, and was originally intended to serve as the grounds for the Clarendon County Administration building. However, when plans changed and the location was moved to Sunset Drive, the lot sat vacant. The City of Manning now plans to use the land for the good of the ....
