Jim Sass was newly elected and Todd Hecht was re-elected recently to the Board of Supervisors of the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). They were sworn into office by Treasurer Roland Sandrock at the January Board Meeting of the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District. In addition to Sandrock, they will join Vice-Chairman Rich Thorbahn and Secretary Bill Hartman on the Board of Supervisors. Hecht will hold the position of Chairman and Jim is an acting member. Together they direct the staff of the Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District to carry out the conservation of the natural resources throughout Ottawa County by assisting landowners, both urban and rural.
