Some familiar names will be on the ballot in November for a pair of State House of Representative races. Incumbent 83rd district State Representative Andrew Beeler edged out fellow State Rep Gary Eisen from the 81st district in the new 64th district, which include Port Huron and surrounding areas. Beeler will face Charles Howell who was unopposed on the Democratic side of the ticket Tuesday. Current St. Clair County Clerk Jay DeBoyer will be the Republican nominee in the new downriver 63rd house district . He will face Democrat Kelly Noland in November, who also won the 63d district Democratic primary Tuesday. In the new 65th district it was Jamie Green getting the nod from Republicans. She will face Democratic primary winner Mark Lingeman in that new district that includes western St. Clair and potions of Lapeer and Macomb Counties.
