Has been shot and killed by San Francisco police. They just started reopening some of the roads here. This is in the bayview in San Francisco. This woman was shot one time by one officer who only fired one shot. The confrontation taking place about 9 45 a. M. Police were out looking for stolen cars at the time and they found one on elmira street where it dead ends under 280. Officers tried to talk to her. They say she tried to drive off. At 100 feet away she hit a truck. Officers approached the car and the police chief reports what happened next. We have one witness that says that there was a back and forth with the vehicle, with the officers moving about, at some point in this engagement, one officer a sergeant fired one shot striking the suspect. Reporter officers got her out of the car. They performed cpr. But she died at San Francisco general hospital.
