Deputy jumped into deep water to save another person who was also drowning, but that deputy drowned himself. Its not clear if the person he was trying to rescue also drowned. The sheriffs released a statement late tonight saying in part, we quote, Deputy Francies died doing what he was born to do, putting himself in harms way to protect the lives of others.
