I do want to show you whats going on behind me. Police are still conferring. There is a perimeter wrapped around the area as they continue to gather evidence from this townhouse. Now at this time we dont know what unit where this all took place but again police are still reviewing evidence at this time in the early stages of the investigation. As far as what happened here tonight were told a 33 year old man was watching an 11 year old boy at the time per his parents request and it was when he was putting a gun away inside his townhouse that that gun went off and struck the 11 year old boy in the upper body. Where exactly we do not know at this time. But again that gun struck the boy. That man immediately wrapped the boy up, rushed downstairs and raised him to joint base andrews where the police was then transported to Childrens Hospital and were told he is now fighting for his life tonight.
