Black Hawks Beat Sioux City Twice-Back At Home Tues. Night SATURDAY NIGHT The Black Hawks closed out a weekend series against the Musketeers with a 4-1 Saturday night win in Party Town. The contest was also the sixth and final game between the teams during the 2020/21 regular season schedule; Waterloo claimed four out of the six. And that s probably a good thing, because the teams appear to be growing tired of each other, as evidenced by the three fights on Saturday night. Townsquare Media - Shawn McKenna According the team s game re-cap; Sioux City recorded their only goal of the first period. However, in the 2nd period, the game-tying goal came when Max Sasson shoveled the puck toward the top of the crease, and Kyler Kleven redirected it in with one hand on his stick. Then Sasson scored the go-ahead goal just before the intermission. He pulled a rebound away from the side of the Sioux City net, taking a step back, before lifting a sharp-angled chance under the ....

Black Hawks Beat The Buccaneers On New Years Eve For the tenth consecutive New Year’s Eve, the Waterloo Black Hawks successfully defended home ice, with a 3-1 Thursday win at Young Arena against the Des Moines Buccaneers. Coincidentally, the last time Waterloo lost on New Year s eve was in 2010, at the hands of the Buccaneers. Flash forward, a decade later, as the Black Hawks took the lead early with an early goal by Michael LaStara, putting them ahead for good and never looked back. Just 47 seconds into the game, Wyatt Schingoethe cut hard to the net through the circle, and at the last moment dropped a pass to LaStarza, and he stuck it in the top corner of the net. Also in the 1st period, Schingoethe slung a pass to Ryan O’Hara in the right circle and his shot was tipped in from near the top of the crease by Ethan Szmagaj. ....
Black Hawks Split On Their Weekend Road Trip After suffering their 6th loss in a row, on Friday at Omaha by a score of 5-2, Waterloo reversed that score on Saturday night at Sioux Falls and broke the losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the Stampede.
