Council official put in "precarious position" during greenway consultation

LMFM By Ruth O Connell Landowners along the extension of the Carlingford Lough Greenway will no longer be contacted in-person. Louth County Council will be communicating with landowners along the extension of the Carlingford Lough Greenway by letter and Zoom meetings following an incident where it s alleged an official was put in a precarious position.   Senior Engineer John O’Hagan told the Dundalk Municipal District s monthly meeting that the local authority would only be in contact with landowners if requiring further information. Once a site investigation was completed, and mapping updated, they will engage with the landowners. Fianna Fáil Councillor Andrea McKevitt called for more engagement from the council while Fine Gael s John Reilly said he had received complaints about a lack of consultation and claimed that landowners were going to form a group.
