Landowners along the extension of the Carlingford Lough Greenway will no longer be contacted in-person.
Louth County Council will be communicating with landowners along the extension of the Carlingford Lough Greenway by letter and Zoom meetings following an incident where it's alleged an official was put in a "precarious position."
Senior Engineer John O’Hagan told the Dundalk Municipal District's monthly meeting that the local authority would only be in contact with landowners if requiring further information.
Once a site investigation was completed, and mapping updated, they will engage with the landowners.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Andrea McKevitt called for more engagement from the council while Fine Gael's John Reilly said he had received complaints about a lack of consultation and claimed that landowners were going to "form a group."
