i didn t know who she was before the debate. this is the very real concern. people have to draw their own conclusions. that was republican congresswoman michele bachmann on nbc s today show this morning following up on her criticism of texas governor rick perry in last night s republican tea party debate for having supported vaccination of texas schoolgirls against the virus that causes cervical cancer. miss bachmann arguing in essence to millions of viewers on the today show that that vaccine causes mental retardation. is that claim true or is that false? false. despite michele bachmann s clear implications, there is no accepted medical evidence suggesting the vaccine she is describing causes mental retardation. in fact, the american academy of pediatrics put out this statement today. the american academy of pediatrics would like to correct false statements made in the republican presidential campaign that hpv savaccine is dangerous and can cause mental retardat ....

and what was probably the most fascinating thing about doing this book for the two of you? that our original goal when we had our first conversation about doing the book, we had a goal about what kind of book we wanted it to be and what we thought might succeed, and we executed exactly what we wanted to do which is pretty rewarding in any aspect of life. host: had you two worked together before? guest: we had not written so much as a shopping list. we d had a few meals and tries together but had never written anything together. i have to say, there are always challenges with all good partnerships, but within the possible spectrum of how rewarding and enjoyable it was, it was way off the charts for both of us. we had a great time doing it, and the writing of it was shockingly much easier than either one of us expected it would be. malcolm gladwell, author of what the dog saw, and david grann discuss their respective collections of of essays and their writing ....

and to what got to be impossible and the state department couldn t shed a doubt about it and so he made the news public. but he himself, as he said, it s so horrible i can t leave. well, that s kind of an expression of disbelief it seems to me to be a rationale for not doing anything because as you say this is terrible. then what are you doing about it? you know, and you can t say well i don t want to see roosevelt because it would get him mad and then so you just say well it can t be true. anyhow, to answer your question i think that explains a lot of the people who express the jewish leaders and sympathizers as i guess frankfurter would be. they were reluctant to admit and it was horrible, but after a while when you have all this evidence piled up and as you mentioned himself he was a firsthand witness you have to see the other horrible things that happen and this is the lead stand may be the biggest perhaps there s something to be done. thank you for the question. ....
