It is feared the number is roughly 75. This property and others in the Tourist Destination still smoldering as flames race toward even more neighborhoods. This morning in washington state, this is what they face a firefight so explosive, so unpredictable the National Guard was called to help from the air and on the ground. The so called chelan complex fire has been nearly impossible to stop. What began as four small lightning fires here merged into a monster blaze. Neighborhoods, a warehouse, a lumberyard lost. 2,700 people forced to flee. The fire stretched 14 miles in some spots, jumping a river, hopscotching toward homes. Were looking at the line from kingston to poughkeepsie down the toms river. Western jersey is shower free now and so is manhattan. Theres a little shower coming across Staten Island heading towards brooklyn and queens.
