And mayor Deirdra Martin says what they saw in memorial day was in her words, out of control. This year fourth of july is on a saturday, and they want to make sure that they dont see a repeat. She is going to follow the governors orders by closing parking lots, but also plans to close beaches. The state of california is not mandating the closure of beaches this weekend, but we are modifying our Parking Facility operations and closing them to traffic. The governor has closed our parking lots, and the city of pacifica has decided to close our beaches this year from sunrise friday morning to sunrise monday morning.
