“Based on the updated schedule, repair works by TNB and PLUS will now only take 112 days. We shortened the time it took to remove the damaged cable and cable support by seven days, said TNB chief grid officer Datuk Husaini Husin. He said repairs to the 132kV cable that caught fire in KM3.2 of the bridge involved the replacement of three circuit cables with new ones for a length of about 100m. “The repair works will also involve the cable jointing and wooden platform replacements. “These works will not obstruct traffic and will be carried out by sea by using a barge until June 23, he said. ....
