Shooting in roanoke county. Police say the suspect is dead in the incident that happened friday night near route 419. Officers responded was waving a gun in the parking lot of a walgreens near brambleton avenue. Shot, and he died at the hospital. The officers involved are on administrative leave as Police Continue to investigate. Officer was killed her first day on the job domestic call. Roanoke county police are still piecing together what happened after confirming that a man was shot by an officer. At 7 15 last night, they received a call that a man wearing a bandanna and hoodie was waving a gun off of route 419. We spoke with a witness who made the call to police. He says he was driving when he saw the man. Thomas gill, witness i saw his gun in the right hand. So he was waving it at cars and he turned around and he was waving it at me so i turned around and took a left and i called 911.
