there s too much political violence. there s too much intimidation. there are more than 300 election deniers on the republican tickets this year for state, federal, and local government. [ boos ] this is really serious stuff. if a republican nominee for governor in the state of wisconsin wins, here s what he said. he said, if i win, my party will never lose another election in wisconsin. he s either a prophet or he plans on doing something about election law. that s president joe biden in california last night. his latest stop in a jam-packed campaign schedule before the final days of the campaign. willie, you ve got these republican candidates that believe in american democracy only if they win. yeah. we ve played the laundry list of them. senator ron johnson was on yesterday talking to our own shaquille brewster inside the state of wisconsin. shaquille asked him simply if you lose will you honor the results? we ll have to see what happens. his words, i don t know what t
more favorable if the justices start to fear that there will be wild chaos on january 6th unless they rule by then either way. this was about two weeks before january 6. the times says this raises questions about a possible link to the idea of the violence that ultimately took place. cnn s katelyn polantz live in washington. explain to us about these revelations involved in all of these emails. reporter: hi. so this new story from the new york times describes emails between two lawyers who were working with donald trump and the trump campaign after the election. they appear to reveal that one lawyer, john eastman, he is well connected among conservatives, former supreme court clerk, that east man had insight into the internal deliberations of the supreme court and another lawyer was using that information with him to look at ramping up their legal battle with an expectation of chaos on january 6. so in these emails the new york times says that eastman on christmas eve
what trump s innermost circle thought of his election fraud lies. detached from reality was the polite way of putting. president biden wrapping up a speech in philadelphia to the aflcio convention. the president s argument, times are tough, but he should be trusted to get us through the economic pain. and the president got political saying a republican wave in november would bring a renewed attack on two sources of security. the president says republicans would put programs like medicare and social security at risk. our cnn white house correspondent is traveling with the president in philadelphia. john, the president was relaxed because he was among friends. talked about the economics, but he also talked politics. he did. look, this was a president, john, who was reveling in the applause of his friends in the union movement. he s always said from the beginning of his presidential campaign that he s a union guy. so he talked about the positive aspects of his economic record.
