the problem was as we show you video of the frustrated people milling around out here, the problem is they were doing some work on the tracks. they were tracking and then a switch broke so they shouldn t single track. they had to suspend operations. that situation lasted for about 45 minutes. from were actually some people on trains stuck very briefly in tunnels. we talked to a couple of them. i we have places to go and metro wasn t telling us anything at all. we were stuck a few feet from the platform. then they finally moved the train for us to get off. very angry. i m supposed to be somewhere at 5:00. brad: we heard a lot of people saying they were very, very angry. this is typical of the problems that metro has been dealing with. when we come back at 5:00, we will take you to the congressional hearing today absolute earful. alison: brad, thank you very much. do not get caught by surprise when there are service disruptions on metro. sign up for the text alert by ....

we are tracking the potential for a rain/snow mix moving into parts of our area overnight into tomorrow morning. we re looking at the snow potential for the lehigh valley, burks county and philly. this is going to start overnight about 1:00 a.m., 2:00 a.m. it s right for that morning commute, meaning that not only do we have the concern of some areas of icy roadways north but slippery wet roadways as we move through tomorrow morning. today is a different story. a chilly start, but an okay day. we are tracking temperatures right now that are mostly in the 40s. 43 in philadelphia, 39 in cote isville. as the cloud layer builds in later in the day and stops us from seeing a rise in those temps. this is a wide view because it s a show of what s to come. sitting to our west and southwest right now, we see areas of rain and some of the snow creeping near chicago at this point. this system is going to push some of that moisture our direction which gives us the potential of se ....

plaquers left on the scene. look at the scene from earlier today. a terrible story. we understand, we were told by the chief of police is a group from a home here. a group home for special needs residents had left their house just up the block and were walking down to a basketball court. they were going to play some basketball. they came across two people in a car. for some reason or another, words were exchanged. according to prince george s county chief of police, one of the residents of the group home doesn t respond real well. and someone in car pulls out a gun. opens fire. and hits that man in his 20 s. that man runs just a little ways before he drops to the ground. police say, this is an important note. someone who was with the shooter was apparently horrified by what happened. got out of the shooter s car. actually ran to the victim to and made comments that were heard in the neighborhood about how horrified that person was by the shooting. police want that perso ....
