severe lockett with the east bay alliance for a sustainable economy says the city has denied the public a chance to fully understand the report. he released a statement that reads in part what is most alarming is the e i r shows a failure to truly commit to addressing and undoing impacts of environmental racism against oakland communities. he does go on to say the e i r doesn t include critical details about plans to clean toxic waste from the site in order to allow for the safe construction of the expected 3,000 units of housing. he says without a clear plan, oakland families cannot trust they will be able to safely live near or on the site. now, a protest against the project is happening right now at oakland city hall. it s hosted by a local labor party against using public money for the stadium. a survey by a private group recently found the majority of people polled did not want their tax dollars spent on the new stadium. participants in the survey say they would ra ....
